A Bittersweet Little Weekend…

I honestly think that weeks after a shorter work week seem to drag on and on and on…An example is this week. It was forever. I’m looking forward to the weekend but it has a mini twist. A new friend of mine will be leaving to move from NJ to Arizona in another week and tonight is her going away party. I met her through one of CJ’s best friends and they were the other “Dancing couple” we did stuff with on weekends. Alas soon that will change. She’s leaving for a new job which I’m so happy for her that she got it but it’s sad to see her & her bf go. Just when we were becoming best of friends. Ah Facebook…that is where you’ll come in.

There’s a street fair in Nyack, NY too! Hopefully Cj and I both will go instead of just me. He didn’t want to go last year because he had been there many times before so hopefully he changed his mind. It’s supposed to be gorgeous out! 

I also have to start thinking of Birthday plans because people are asking me already what I want to do…My birthday is August 7^th. It’s creeping up fast. I’ll be 26 years old. 25 was one hell of a rough year. I’m drawing an utter blank. Usually we just go to a bar and chill out with some people but I might throw a party at my condo. It’s too small to have people all inside so maybe I can use the backyard….hmmm…maybe?

Yeahh it's Friday, the weekend is here and my schedule is booked solid. I have a communion party, a graduation party, and a mother's day extravaganza! At least tonight I can just chill out with CJ. =)

My name in Greek and Latin means "Dark Beauty"...but I'm trading in the dark for some lighter colors. I picked up my new favorite dress at NY & Company and I'm going to wear it tomorrow at the Communion!

I love it! I also touched up my French Manicure with Milani Nail Art Polish I bought at CVS with a precision brush! It worked like a charm! I love getting manicures but I just wish they lasted longer. This product hopefully will help me out til the end of the weekend! =)

I'm off to go to CJ's and my weekend parties. I hope you all have a great weekend and will see you on Sunday! Later for now!

Hello Everyone! What a week! What a successful week!! The new job is coming along better than I could ever have hoped for. The people are so nice and there is tons of layers to the company. I had an extremely bad case of A.D.D. in my last job because tasks were a lil restricted & very on the surface of the company. Not in the new place! I'm still in training and will be for a while but they will be giving me a lil piece of everything. YEAH!! =)

Now I am in NO WAY a fashionistaa or even an outfit blogger, BUT I had to take a picture of my outfit today. The dress is casual at the job but because I'm still new I'm trying to make some good impressions so I've been dressing a lil more business-like. This morning I was inspired by the sunset to wear some lighter colors instead of my usual black, gray, & red.  Somehow in the dark of the morning I pulled out 3 blue pieces and it all came together. I started with the lightest blue and got darker as I added the layers. I think it works!

The two bottom shirts are from Kmart & the cardigan is from the GAP. When you need to buy alot of clothes on a budget I've found it's easier to have some nice pieces & some practical less expensive ones you will put in the washing machine alot. I loved wearing it all today!

I was on a total high note up until lunch. It's funny how shit loves to hit the fan. I was minding my own business leaving a rummage store when it happened. I was talking to my Mom on the phone when I see a car speed up the hill where I was parked. A lil behind him was a cop. The guy skids around the corner away from the cop and of course the cop with the sirens blaring tries to catch him. Thinking nothing of it I get in my car & drive up the hill away from the lil chase when I notice in front of me another cop car. My mom starts screaming at me to pull to the shoulder. I do and proceed to watch 4 MORE POLICE CARS speed past me. So who is never going to go out to lunch again? *Raising my Hand*

It was pretty scary & I found out I was in a bad area so I'm going to stay more near work. Thankfully it's Friday. I just want to relax. Can't wait to shut my eyes! I'll be visiting you guys soon!! =)

Mustachio Bashio on a Green Day!!

The other day I asked CJ where & what type of birthday party he wanted. To which his response in a mighty voice was,

 "I want a Mustachio Bashio! Everyone will wear mustaches as we do a bar crawl through Pearl River."

I replied, "Then a Mustachio Bashio it shall be." I've never gotten funnier looks from a Party City cashier buying 50 mustaches in January. She gave me that look of, "Please for the love of God DON'T tell me why your buying these..." so I kept my mouth shut, paid, and quickly ran through the door. As I looked at these silly mustaches sitting in the car next to me I smiled & laughed. Oh CJ...what am I going to do with you? =P

This week ruled actually, except for the snow. No joke that was the forecast for this week. Luckily I didn't have any full snow days but the height of snow mounds we have all over lower New York is getting ridicolous & a lil dangerous. When your turning onto a street you can't see over it. Hopefully it'll be a lil sunny so it will thaw out.

I also lost a pound this week. I'm really trying to embrace my New Year's resolutions. I'm more organized now & trying to eat healthier. It is starting to pay off. I started the diet Wednesday after a DELICIOUS dinner at the restaurant RUTH CHRIS on Tuesday night. Their fillet mignon butterflied is omg the best steak I've ever eaten. Anyone ever eaten there? Soo good!!

Well this weekend has one more treat in store! On Sunday night I'm going to see "Green Day's American Idiot" on Broadway. I don't know if it's got a story around the music or if it's more like a concert or what? Green Day is probably one of the first modern bands I started to listen to when i was uber little in the early 90's. I used to listen to alot of 50's & 60's songs. I CAN'T WAIT! Oh and Billy Joe is going to be in it!!! I wonder if they sign autographs afterwards?? How awesome would that be to get a signed Playbill???!! Eeek I'm excited!!

This weekend should be amazing. I hope! I'm going to the Green Day thing with CJ so it should definitely be a memory we'll talk about for years. =)

Oh No! My Crushee is BACK!!! AHHH!!!

The snow. Yes, it's back. Around this time last year it messed up every date, event, occasion, or just even a hang out on me. I swore it had a crush on me. But thankfully this year it gave me a lil break and only did it's thang while I was at work. =)

It has the nerve to look pretty. =) I have a feeling this is going to be a slow year. A very very slow year. This week seemed to last forever & the weekend just creeped to slow. Yeahh tho for it FINALLY arriving!!

I'm heading over to CJ's place tonight for some Shrimp Tacos. mmhhhmmm Yummy!! A lil shrimp cooked in garlic pieces, rice, chopped-up tomato, sauteed onions, sour cream, soft taco shells, and a splash of salsa...Ohh and a lil bit of love is music to my ears.

This weekend was full of moments that if I could I would want to relive them over  & over again. That’s what makes life so precious. Those lil things that tug at your heart & make it smile…

 ~Taking a West Coast Swing class with your boyfriend & actually completing the steps. Seeing the determination on CJ’s face to learn the new moves was awesome! I was so impressed. I’ll admit the thought creeped into my head of maybe just maybe I might dance with him like this on our maybe future wedding day...

~Being all snuggled up with CJ in bed & then in the middle of the night feeling a lil sleepy kiss on my shoulder that went straight to my toes.

~Early Christmas shopping in the mall NOT by yourself, but with someone who is there merely because 

you’re there & wanted to spend the day with you.

~A lil kitty snuggling between CJ & me in the morning just to be petted by both of us.

~Shopping for all the ingredients for Shrimp Tacos & then cooking them all together. It was so yummy we sorta sat in silence just enjoying it.

~Cleaning behind the oven & finding a sea of cat toys & a penny from 1938. Hehe. I hope it hadn’t been there THAT long.

~Sitting at TGIF’s watching the end of the NJ Jets game together & CJ turning to me saying, “I just love you so much.”

~And realizing that for the first time ever that I have everything I ever wanted all wrapped up in a 6ft man with dragon tattoos. It took me years to find him & I’m don't think I can ever let him go. =)

Ever feel like you had a successful blogging week? I don’t know but this week I feel like I learned something from all your wonderful comments. I’ve gone all over the place with the subject category so I’m happy the response was good. Thank you very much! Sometimes I honestly feel like I’m in a “Pin the tail on the Donkey” game with the blindfold stuck on my eyes. It’s hard to see a situation for what it truly is when your knee deep in it. So you’ll need a lil help. Thank you for giving me that lil push.

Also my happy lil Christmas trees Cupckes! Christmas Tree Cupcake Post It was soo much fun making those cupcake wonders! I’m going to miss that class. My mom was an excellent teacher. Hopefully when I move into my new place I will be able to make something new like that every week!

This week has also brought a few things to my attention I have never done that I have to do before this year is up!

1.) Have a Macaroon! I’ve never had one before. I drool over almost every post that features these because I’ve never had the delight of eating one. There is a bakery shop by Cj’s house that makes them. I must make a stop there soon!



2.)Watch “The Notebook”. Somehow I missed this movie every single time it’s been on TV or when it was in the theaters. I have to sit down and watch it. I know the story but I have to see it nonetheless.

3.)Pick up my Zombie Novel again. I began writing one last year & have almost forgotten about it. I need to dust off the cover of my lil cherry notebook & begin to write again. I miss it.

I'll got on those things ASAP! Along with them this weekend I’m also going to a Ballroom Dancing Class with CJ & some of his friends! It should be so much fun. I also have a Christening to go to this Sunday. It should be an interesting weekend! Cheers Everyone!

What a PACKED Weekend this Shall Be!!

That's my Exact Expression when I looked at my Date Book and realized how much I had this weekend!! It's hilarious when there is nothing for weeks then BAM! Tons of stuff to do in about 48 hours. I got a Couple's Game Night, the Nordstrom Trend Show Cosmetic Event tomorrow morning, one of my best friends Birthday parties Saturday night, & my mom's birthday is then on Sunday!! I'm going to try to squeeze it all in!! Well first things first...

I got to see one of the most hilarious bands EVER last night!! The Amish Outlaws. They dress like shown & then play cover Rock Songs from all times. Seeing a man dressed up like an Amish guy playing an Electric Guitar AND singing Spanish Reggae was the highlight of the night. They even threw in a Lady Gaga song. hehe. It was a cute treat at a local bar.

Tomorrow tho I'm really looking forward the Nordstrom Trend Cosmetic Show! I'm going to get to see the latest make-up & skin care items AND the coolest part is that my admission Fee goes towards my Make-up Purchase!! I get a Free Dior make-up Gift and I get to do all of this with the birthday girl and her cousin. It should be a lot of fun! I think I get a Free make-over too!! I'll make sure to take pictures if I can! =)

My Mom's Birthday should be alot of fun too because for her birthday I'm going to help her open up her own lil ETSY Store!! She makes the most darling lil crafts! I will post pics of the items soon!! =)

It should all be super fun! Is there anywhere I can get a Caffeine IV? Seriously who ever comes up that is going to be a millionaire! Okay everyone I'll see you all soon!! =)

Have a lil moment this weekend…and a Winner!!

This week has been so busy & the hustle & bustle of it all must have taken a toll on everyone! From the storms on the East Coast, to the blaring heat, to the drama, to the un-returned phone calls, to shear stupidity & unanswered questions this week has been a trial. My power actually has been quirky since the storms started 2 days ago so I got thrown off a bit on my blogging schedule too. I’ve been on a roll lately & I want to stick with it.


I didn’t even get a chance to write about how AMAZING my Cake Decorating Class went with my mom & lil cousin!! I think it’s going to be a Kickass 8 weeks. I’ll be posting lil tid-bits of knowledge from it that I’m learning so maybe with the upcoming Holidays I could help some of you out by sharing. It was funny tho going back to my high school for the class. I don’t miss it. But I was happy to find that from my Track days I’m still up on the wall of plaques after 7 years. =) hehe. It will all be Coming Soon…

This weekend I think everyone just have a lil moment to themselves…Sit & actually enjoy your cup of coffee in the morning, sleep a lil longer & snuggle under the covers, take up that sale at your favorite store, read a non-school related book & get lost in it, sit & watch TV or your favorite movie & finally just let out that breath you’ve been holding all week from the rush of it all. The weekends are a break for a reason...I hope you all take a lil advantage of it!

I actually haven’t seen my boyfriend all week, due to scheduling conflicts & storms, so I’m ready to maul him with kisses, go to ShrimpFest at Red Lobster, & then just chillax with some wine & beers at his place. I miss him a lot. I think that’s a good thing. We will definitely be sneaking away a bit & getting reacquainted…*cough* Maybe we’ll go to the local zoo if it’s too cold too. =)


It’s now October & that opens the door to soooo much fun stuff!!!! Hopefully I’ll be moving into my condo soon if the bank lady would actually answer us, I might be meeting Whoopi Goldberg to get her book signed, I might be going to see a filming of Comedy Central Presents, & the Halloween festivities will begin! Soon…all will be Coming Soon!
