Well Here Goes Nothing...

In this adorable scene from one of my favorite scenes in the movie, "Lilo & Stitch", Stitch places his finger on the record player and the music of Elvis plays through his mouth instead of the record player. The "Awww" sound I made tonight I think could probably be heard through all of Rockland County. I'm a sucker for cutesy Disney movies.

Tomorrow tho, I'll have real music to listen to & I hope I'm not too close to the speakers. I'm going to see the band, "Dommin" that I spoke of before. The only way to describe them is Gothic Lounge Rock. They sound like lounge singers but dressed all in black & there's a guitar. I like them a lot. My music taste is so various that it's almost ridicolous. My "Mix Cd's"............I REALLY HOPE NEVER LEAVE MY CAR!!! For example it goes Aerosmith to Carrie Underwood to Backstreet Boys to Garbage to Red Hot Chilli Peppers to Faith Hill to Rhianna to Celine Dion to Pat Benatar to Cascada to VNV Nation to yeah think of something random...I'll have it. =)

What's your favorite song you rock out to in your car? Hey that's why there's air conditioning so you don't have to put the windows down & there's always heat. =)

The concert is in New York City. (Google Images for picture) I live about 20 minutes from the George Washington Bridge, but surprisingly I don't get into the city as much as I should! And I'm going with the guy I call the Mess, my Brown Eyed Mr. Big. I know. I've come to the conclusion about him that he would not come get me in Paris if I was there with the wrong man. I'm not going to air his dirty laundry here but trust me from past people (Not Me) I don't think he'd come get me or say, "Your the One." I'm sad about it, but if I clear him out of my head in a romantic way maybe I'll see someone else. Moreover I'm back to being Julia Roberts with the lavender dress like in "My Best Friends Wedding" I think.

But he may do "The Switch". I'm now referring to his actions as "The Switch". One day he'll be mean, one day he'll be my best friend, another day he'll be cuddling with me on the couch on a cold wintery day, yet another day the switch will happen to ignoring me, then...It'll all start again. With my surgery coming up this week, I can't keep playing these games. It's been 3 years, I think that's enough time to realize it's not going anywhere. After this I'm going to try to distance myself so I'm not so available, but I will admit I will put on my eye-liner and my lil black corset tomorrow and hope maybe he'll say, "Wow you look pretty tonight." But...I won't hold my breath on it.

All I can think of is that girl from the song, "Stupid" by Sarah Mclachlan. She is trapped in a love and she's trying to keep herself from... "falling into old familiar shoes." I'm going to try too not to fall.

So Off to the New York City for me tomorrow, by train(I love train rides). It should be interesting. I'll take pictures at the concert.

Health Update: I did find a surgeon, and my surgery to remove my gall bladder will be this Friday. The doctor explained everything so I'm better feeling about it. I'm calm about it, but I think I have to stay calm so my parents don't freak out, which is in turn keeping me calm. I hope it lasts. Thank you for all your words of encouragement with going through the surgery. It means so much. So much that words just can't describe. =) Til Wednesday...

"We can live like Jack and Sally if we want
Where you can always find me
We'll have Halloween on Christmas
And in the night we'll wish this never ends
We'll wish this never ends"

i hope you'll enjoy the concert and won't be too sad if he switches the wrong way...you're there to have fun and enjoy the concert...remember?

i have the most random taste of music as well! on of my favourite in the car in the summer, with window open as i dont have ac, is Sublime.
for me it screams sun, friends, booze, relax, beach...

i could do with all that just now! i do feel the whole fall/winter spirit now but honnestly, i think i'm meant to live in a warm place!

glad you're not so worried anymore about the surgery!
have a great day..

I think we have quite a few things in common but music is actually not one of them! ;O))) I have a very random taste too, but I don't really listen to any of the ones you mentioned. I like music with ethnic feeling: african, Caribean, Balkan, I love the music of the 70's and 80's and I adore Beatles, my biggest idol of all times is Madonna... you see, quite random too!!! hehehe
I admire the way you are going about your surgery, I am sure there no reason to worry but it is never an easy thing to go though surgery... I've never done myself and I can even think about it without getting dizzy... ;O)
Well done babe! Enjoy your evening!!!
(Thanks for your beautiful comments in my blog! ;O))

I hope you have fun at the concert. I'm sorry Mess is putting you through such an emotional roller coaster. :(
Good luck with your surgery. I will be thinking about you on Friday. I'm sure everything will be okay, it will just be a matter of getting lots of rest!

PS. When you are healing, you should watch those cute Disney movies to cheer you up. Whenever I'm home sick, that's what I do! Aladdin, Little Mermaid, and the rest of the gang never fail to put a smile on my face and make me feel hopeful about the world. :)

It has always been my opinion that there is a Blink song for every human emotion. Hope that helps.

*Hugs to you*
