Stolen Moments Sunday...

Here is another edition of my New Feature. Stolen Moments Sunday I'm so glad I'm sticking with this. This weekend turned out so nice I couldn’t have planned it better myself. The shock of finally owning my place has worn off & now I’m reveling in it. I had a couple over with Cj on Saturday night & I made dip, we played Rock Band, I put out bowls of yummy snacks out, & I felt like it was a total success!! I wasn’t overwhelmed or frazzled. I still tho have to do something with my naked walls. It’s too much white. I will paint probably in the spring but right now I need something on them. Hmmm…Anywho…

The weekend was full of Awesome Moments & some questionable ones…I’ll explain. =)

~Making cupcakes for my friend Debra’s Annual Soup Party! Yeah I know that’s new to people’s ears. Soup Party?!?  She thought it would be a new quirky tradition to start. Each person/couple brings a different type of soup. She made this tomato, rosemary, garlic soup from a Williams Sonoma book that was DELICIOUS!! The winner of the Best Soup got a golden Ladle. A lil strange but it was a great Sunday activity. ~
~The new refrigerator was supposed to come on Friday during the snow storm. Yeahhh it didn’t. My Mom & I shoveled the walk way for it but alas no show. I called and they said it was a mix-up & that they were sorry. Dented fridge & False Call for Delivery…Thanks Loews, you sorta suck. ~

~CJ & I planning a mini vacation for April. We are going somewhere tropical. I’m soo excited. ~

~Green Day Rock Band. KICKASS GAME!! Seriously, they have almost every song you can think of. It was so much to rock out to it! Also The Beatles Rock Band. A lot fun for all ages. I recommend it. =)~

~Cj stayed over on Saturday night & I had written “I <3 CJ” on my lil dry erase board. I didn’t tell him I did that but when I looked at the board at some point I saw beneath it… “He <3’s Melababe.” That's his nickname for me. It was too cute. ~

~Ohh yeah PASS on the movie, “Dinner for Schmucks”. THANK GOD we only rented it from a Red Box for like a $1. If I had paid money in the theaters I would have been pissed. The movie went too far & it was awful. ~

~Hearing a miraculous story about a homeless man who is now the announcer for Kraft Macaroni & Cheese & has a God given voice. Good for you Ted Williams!~

~One last thing. Finding a TV channel called Logo that plays Buffy the Vampire Slayer re-runs! Hell Yeah!~

Well those are my stolen Moments. Good luck everybody in the New Week!

What were your Stolen Moments this Weekend? =)

Green Day Rock band is pretty cool. My brother just got it and we jammed.

Hello beautiful! How wonderful that you are all moved in to your new place! Sounds like you were the perfect hostess and had a great weekend.

I saw the movie and thought the same thing. Huge disapointment!

I got this cookbook full of soups a year ago from a local chef and they are soooooo delicious. I've been trying to work my way through them. It is one of the few things I like about winter, homemade soup. So I actually might kind of like a soup party, sounds strangely fun.

And yea I watched Dinner for Schmucks last week. Really disappointing.

Congratulations on owning your own place! I was thinking of seeing Dinner for Shmucks in the theaters when it was out; I'm glad I didn't. Though, I absolutely love what Steve Carell does with the office.

Holding a little inaugural party like you did sounds like the perfect way to break in the new place. I'm glad it was lowkey, enjoyable, and made you feel at home. I too need to decorate my room. I have just a tiny dorm room, not a condo, but the white walls are really uninspiring. Can't wait to see what we both come up with.

I hope you don't mind me writing my stolen moments here.
I had a great time at my friend's daughter's baptism yesterday. It was a lovely service.
I also got to see my ex(after 6 years) and we had a great time talking. He even apologized for being a jerk back then.
It put me in a great mood :)

Oh my gosh! I discovered Logo yesterday! Yes, it's the gay channel but they were playing Daria reruns and I almost died. I LOVE Daria!
Also, I had left it on that channel when I turned my TV off last night and came back in and turned it on and the show title was "Eating Out: All You Can Eat" and it was so HILARIOUS. Gay men are funny. :P

I love your stolen moments posts. They are totally cute.

My favorite moment of the weekend was rocking to Boyz II Men's "I'll Make Love To You" with my best friend, Cortney on an xbox360 karaoke game. It was hilariously fun.

Eh, I didn't think Dinner for Schmucks looked that great. Hubby wanted to see it but I guess I'll tell him to pass.

Sounds like you had a great weekend! I love Logo - they play Daria on there so we've been recording them and having trips down memory lane!

Mm, cupcakes.

My husband and I did pay money to see Dinner for Schmucks in the theater. I was not happy with it at all. I thought it was supposed to be funnier...

Sounds like you had a pretty busy little weekend! I LOVE your love notes...how cute! And totally agree with Dinner for Schmucks...wayyyy to far!

My stolen moment...watching from my condo window as car after car brought their Christmas tree to the fire station across the street. Firefighters directing cars with trees on top really seemed to put a smile on my face!

Soup Party? What a fun idea! I love it!

I had a feeling Dinner for Schmucks wasn't going to be good, but thanks for confirming!

Gah! You are not allowed to discuss Buffy the Vampire Slayer - it makes me far too giddy. I am literally THE biggest Buffy fan - I even told people that my name was Buffy when I was younger! :P

A "Soup Party" actually sounds like my idea of a good time. And thanks for the heads up on Dinner for Schmucks. It looked pretty horrible from the commercials but it's good to get that confirmed.

Oh wow, soup party! That sounds almost as cool as the bacon party my friends went to recently. My husband just made the most amazing creamy artichoke soup from a soup cook book.

Those cupcakes look awesome!
