Amazing may not even be the best word to describe it. Anyone a fan? If you are you have to see this concert live. It's called the Resistance Tour & the opening band was Metric!! I only knew the song, "Help I'm Alive" going into it. I'm now a big fan of theirs. They played the opening set but Muse ruled the stage. In the beginning we just saw these 3 pillars & were like What the fuck? We soon learned that Muse was actually IN THE PILLARS!! They played for like 2 straight hours & it was probably the most energetic crowd roaring most kickass concert I've been to in awhile. Oh yeah.
When they played "Supermassive black hole" I think every Twilight fan lost their voice. The lead singer had a reflective guitar so he could shine light on the audience. I LOVE it when the band loves their music. Muse must be a fan of theirs. They were so into it that the main singer was like "Whoa" in the middle of the songs & on the video playing on the pillars you saw him smiling. There was guitars, pianos, drums, bass, & a harmonica played. The crowd was jumping up & down, bobbing their heads, dancing, pushing up huge eyeball balloons that dropped from the sky. It was so cool.
The light show was unbelievable. I actually was happy our seats were so high up because I got to see it all. Yea I didn't have the closest seat but it didn't matter, it rocked!!
Who was the last band you guys saw in Concert?
Here are my pics from the concert!
Before the Concert was filled with a Sold Out Crowd! |

The insane light show! It was incredible! It was like being in a music video! |
They disappeared into a cloud of smoke! |
There was so much energy to it. Ohhhh. If you get a chance to see this concert I recommend it. What a weekend. I have so much more to write about!! Also there has been a problem with the condo. Yes apparently it shouldn't be taking this long. I'll explain tomorrow. I also went apple picking this weekend too!!! I'll post about that too!! Stay tuned.... =)

Glad you had so much fun--sounds like it was an incredible show. The last concert I saw was David Gray and Ray Lamontagne at the Greek Theater in Berkeley and it was INCREDIBLE. I love live music as well . . . especially at outdoor amphitheaters--I'm a sucker for that. :)
I saw The Resistance Tour when it came through Portland. So good! Seriously, best show I've ever been to. Glad you got to experience it. :)
OMG!!! i'm a huge fan of Muse. reading this post is giving me goosebumps, thanks for providing so much details.. i've seen a clip from their resistance video and i saw them playing in those pillars. Matt Bellamy must be amazed by everyone being so hyped up! when you mentioned Supermassive Black Hole, i instantly played it on my itunes..coz the guitar riffs are cool like that.
i have never been to any concert at all. Philippines is a scattered island so the big bands only play on the biggest city here and it's nowhere near my city. it's one of my dreams to see them live! i can't believe you got to see them.. did you buy some merches there? :D
I am so jealous and I am not even a big fan of Muse I'd just like to feel the energy.
I am an insane MUSE fan, I saw them here in Atlanta back in February, I took some pics, I was right in front of Mathew Bellamy!!!
WHAT A BAND,talented, fantastic and they sound even better live!!!!
And when they played "feeling Good" Hubby and I were on another planet!!!
How fun! I have never seen a photo of your bf before- so cute! That last band I saw was my husband's years ago. We've been busy ever since I guess!
Looked amazing, such great photos!
Looks like you had fun.
I personally can't STAND concerts. Blah. Too many people, too much crowd noise, too much money, and too many cheesy laser-show tricks. No THANK YOU. lol
It sounds like it was a fun time! I used to go to concerts a lot, but I haven't been to many in recent years. The last one I went to was Lady GaGa in September. I think the last one before that was Projekt Revolution and Warped Tour in 2007. It's been ages!! Yikes!
Glad you had a wonderful time at the concert. It looks AMAZING!!! So much better in person i'm sure.
Ooh - I bet it was awesome!! Love Muse!! Seen them live before and thought it was absolutely stunning!
Glad you had such a great time!
I'm not a massive Muse fan but I do love the song "Uprising." It's brilliant. Glad you had fun at the concert.
The last few gigs I've been to see have been solo artists rather than bands. I saw Ellie Goulding, Alicia Keys and Rihanna within a few weeks of one another. I think the last BAND I saw though were All American Rejects.
I heard Muse is amazing live. Glad you had fun! Great pics :)
The last show I went to was The Action Design. They are a small punk band that formed from the former members of another punk band called Tsunami Bomb. It was at the famous Troubadour on the Sunset Strip in LA so I enjoyed it :)
I think Meg posted about her Muse concert experience on our blog! I'm not familiar...but than her musical tastes have always been cooler than mine. HA!
Sounds like you had a great time! I just love concerts too! They're so magical and hit me somewhere deep :)
MUSE is such a great band. I'm happy to say I loved them YEARS before Twilight came out. :)
I wish I could go to concerts. The last one I went to was Gym Class Heroes two years ago. I'm too broke to go see anyone else. Lol.
So happy that you had fun seeing Muse. The last show we went to was The Reverend Payton's Big Damn Band at a tiny club in Seattle. We're hoping to see Social Distortion in Atlanta in November. We went to a Social Distortion show for our firs Valentine's Day together.
Wishing you love and lots of it,
Fritzi Marie
Hi Melanie!
That sounded like a fun concert! I'm not a big fan of Muse but I like a few of their songs.
:)
Thanks for stopping by on my blog! I'm now following yours!
Yay!! I love Muse, the green lightshow was fantastic. They are so great live. By the way you won my giveaway last week girl!! Shoot me an email mytangerinehearts@gmail.com
That sounds like so much fun! And pretty much the opposite of the last concert I went to haha. My boyfriend and I saw Ian Tyson recently, a 75 year old country singer.
I'm so jealous...
Last concert I went to:
Ludo
about a month ago. Great entertainers!
