What a battle...

Today was a battle from the start. But the battles are what make you stronger. *Take in Breath* I could barely get up this morning, hit the snooze button 4 times, witnessed the signing of a will for the company next store, couldn’t get out of my job parking lot because of the snow, got the last Guardacil shot(hurts like a bitch btw), slipped & fell in the snow, got paid but didn’t get paid for the last week’s snow day(I’m pissed about that), I thought the sports talk was over but now its onto basketball, had a nose bleed, went to a really skinny friend’s for dinner and got just tootsie rolls & Milano’s for dinner(I guess that’s all she eats in a day), & watched probably the most depressing movie of all time. *Let out breath* Whew, I’m really happy to be home right now. Lol.

But on another note the snow was beautiful. It wasn’t sticking to the roads so I could enjoy it. It was that perfect snow that looks like sprinkled sugar. I guess it missed me. For some reason I got the idea to walk a heart in the snow. It reminded me of the Johnny Cash song, “Walk the line”. “If you were mine, I’d walk the line.” That’s one of my favorite songs ever. I would walk the line, if I had the chance. Anywho, here is the lop-sided heart I walked.

I can’t wait for my heart to feel alive again or actually feel something real & tangible. But the snow will have to do for now. I’ll take it on one small dance of steps.

The movie I mentioned that I saw is 500 Days of Summer. I was debating just buying it tons & tons of times but I finally saw it in the library today. It was the talk of blogger a few months ago. I now know why. I wish I could say I related to Summer’s character but no. I related to Tom. Btw, Josepeh Gordon Lewitt is HOT!!! I know what it feels like to want to break plates over and over. I don’t want to spoil the movie…so I won’t say much. However I will say this. If I had to make a movie about my life right now...well I wouldn't be able to because this was it. The movie is not a love story but it made me see that are more assholes in the world than I thought. lol. But I like the last few minutes, it made me smile....

This day was a battle & took everything it could from me. I'm exhausted. I'll make sure to pack some extra armor for the future. I'm off to dream of sugary snow...Goodnight everyone.

wow sounds like a rough never ending day! I am so sorry things are so crazy lately for you. but despite the chaos you seem to be in good spirits

I absolutely hate "eating" with super skinny friends. I used to be friends with a girl who forced you to split entrees at restaurants with her every time you went out. partially b/c she was too cheap to pay for an entire meal, but also because "well, you couldn't eat that entire plate yourself..." which of course always made me feel like a fatty haha ugg. then again, her priorities are majorly messed up. she got swine flu and actually enjoyed the "6 pack" she got from coughing...oh dear.

ugg guardasil is awful, but at least its over!

Wow, sorry you had such a terrible day :( that day kinda sounds like my last week of January only more spread out. Worst week ever. I am a bit jealous of the snow. So pretty :) I think it'll be raining over here soon :(

I loved that movie 500 days of summer. It had a bittersweet ending, but it was nice anyway.

Real shinny friends don't usually know how to cook well, because they don't enjoy food that much.

Have a much better day now.

I'm a day late, but hope Wednesday (today) is a much better day.

I love the heart in the snow.

I haven't seen 500 Days of Summer, but it's on my list of movies to see.

So not fair that you didn't get paid for the snow day! You can't control the weather! And sports...ugh! Truly, when will it end?! Every time you think you've survived it the next season of sports arises and you're forced to listen to incessant chit chat about it!! So frustrating. Sounds like you truly did have the worst day ever.

On the bright side, your snow heart is adorable. And now I'm convinced that I need to buy "(500) Days of Summer" this weekend. I haven't seen it yet. Hope today is better than yesterday my love!! :)

I tried to leave you a comment the other night, and for some reason certain blogs always crash my internet. Anywho, commenting from work. Shh! I didn't receive the giveaway. :( wonder what happened. Sorry you had a rough Valentine's. Thinking of you.

Lots of love,

And soon you will be able to crawl into a cosy cinema and watch Tim Burton's "Alice in Wonderland" - forgetting everything "normal" and just live in a crazy world for a while... then our lives (ups and downs) will seem more normal afterwards

I'm sorry you had such a rough day. Ugh. Doesn't it seem like everything bad all happens at once?

And that movie...ugh. I agree, depressing. It kind of reminded me of my last relationship. It's just the reality that hits you hard.

Ya know, sometimes I wish movies wouldn't try so hard to be realistic. I go to the theater to get away from real life! Lol. I want to see a happy ending...

Don't know about the movie, but Johnny is still one of the best!

You are such a talented writer, your posts always just draw me in from the beginning. Oh and I can relate to you...we all can! I know that you are right, the battles only make you stronger. For me, moving to Italy was a constant battle but worth it! :)

By the way, thank you so much for your kind words about my recent designs! It means so much to me!

Awww, Mel, I am sorry for how you are feeling. I know though girl. I have not been feeling it either. Just for all kinds of reasons. However, this year I have found the snow to be comforting. I LOVE you heart in the snow. You are such a clever girl! I LOVE 500 Days Of Summer. I meant to blog about it. However, it was really so great - I loved the dance sequence in the middle of the film and the name of the girl at the end! That is the best name ever you know! lol. However, I do hope that you do feel more ALIVE soon. You will girl. I will say many prayers for you. We will make it girl -straight to the top!

P.S. The part about the Milano's and Tootsie rolls was too funny. Thanks for sharing! xoxo!

Sorry about your hard day, hope it gets better soon! 500 Days of Summer is sad yet happy, but I don't think I could watch it again. The snow is lovely - agreed!

what a day!

that movie made me BAWL MY HEAD OFF! i felt so bad for him. the happy part of the movie is the dance sequence that just about killed me. love that part!

and you will find the right guy. i am kind of in the same boat as you, but maybe it is best we didn't settle, marry the wrong guy, and end up getting divorced? i think so, even if it still sucks and it stills hurts. oy. one day it won't. i can't wait for that day! :)

What's important is to let it be and try to change it for the better the next morning.

I have heard many people talking about that movie, but I have not seen it yet. I will have to rent it now :)

I hope you are doing better,
