Let them Eat Cake! Let them eat Turkey Cake! Eww um let me explain...

Ah Ms. Marie Antoinette. When the problems in France occurred when there was no food she waved her hand & said, "Let them Eat Cake". Of course there was no cake for them to eat. I guess I made up for that these past few weeks. I've eaten wayyyyyyy tooo much icing. But I was grateful for this class tonight because it got my mind off the condo issue. Everyone at the banks seem to have this flamboyant attitude & they don't seem to care at all. I have to wait to hear back from more people before I make any decisions. It's torture basically. But I'm trying so hard to get through this. So hard.

In tonight's class  we made Icing Turkeys! I was wondering what this was because I had never heard of it. Low & behold the above turkey is all icing. I know it's like a sugar nightmare. lol. BUT it looks so pretty! My mother demoed the turkey cake & then we made the cupcakes. Here is what we did with just a lil yellow, orange, & brown icing. =)

I ran out of icing so I couldn't make the lil giblet thing on the neck. I will tho later. It was a fun class & I'm grateful it calmed me down. AND thank all of you for your sweet comments yesterday. I will get to the bottom of all of this. For now I will just be eating cake! =)

This blog post has given me a MEAN sugar craving. Good thing no cupcake shops round here are open at 11 pm, cause I'd be ordering a few right this very minute--haha!

That turkey cupcake looks awesome :o) Amazing what you can do with icing... I have been following this blog for a while:

...which always leads to something I have to fight...wanting cake... and there's already way too much cake everyday at the office

there's nothing wrong with eating too much frosting yum! best of luck with the bank

Actually, Marie Antoinette never said that. It was more of a hypothetical statement attributed to some heiress, then stuck on her to exaggerate her spending and whatnot.

Banks do suck. And it is pretty terrible about your condo. Good luck.

Love it! We used to make turkey cookies back in the day for the holidays, but maybe I'll try to make turkey cupcakes!

I love it. I recently did an interview with designer LaQuan Smith and his last collection was inspired by Marie Antoinette. So come check it out. Oh, and I want to eat your cupcakes. All of them.

Ciao.
