Now that was a Close Encounter...

On July 4th you gotta watch the movie, Independence Day, with Will Smith & the aliens. It’s like a tradition. Hehe. This July 4th weekend was memorable for me because I spent it running around to barbecues, fireworks, errands, shopping, swimming, Wii resorts, geocaching, & drinking. But what rocked was I had my new boyfriend CJ to spend the days with. His mom was out of town so we basically had the house to ourselves. I’ve forgotten what it feels like to just forget the world & lay down with someone just to be there in that moment with them. I can remember how lonely I felt last year & I knew my days with my Brown-Eyed Mr. Big (the Mess) were numbered. How different a year can be? How compeletely & utterly different…

Or even just a few months. I might be in a relationship but the drama somehow found me. Remember that Ex-New Guy who I couldn’t deal with his drug habits & his negative attitude towards me & I hated him for calling me up in the middle of the night to go get his sorry ass? He called me again to come over his house & then again to go pick him up at 5am. 5 missed calls. I happily pressed the ignore button on the side of my phone. I’m not some childish ignorant girl who will leave her house at 5am to pick some drunk or high or who knows boy who wants to get his thrills. Fuck that. He should have been nice to me months ago…his loss, my gain.



That picture above is CJ & me. We went to Piermont, NY to the pier & got to see about 5 firework shows all at once. Over the Hudson River you got to see all the neighboring towns across the river & really was a beautiful show. I’m comfortably shorter than him so he put his arms around me & rested his chin on my head & we watched them all until the finales ended. We hung out with his friends for a lil then switched to my friends for a lil bit. He’s starting to grasp that I’m used to doing 8 things in a day, but he’s got A.D.D. like me. We fit, at least for now…

I like him just as he is. I’ve known him lil over 2 months & my mom said I keep coming home from days I spend with him smiling. I hope to keep smiling. =) He actually gave me motivation to go to the gym today so I’m feeling the burn. Lol. I’m going to keep at that, I must keep at it. You have to start again somewhere.

There is a lot of things I want to write about this week because there is so much going on with me right now. I might actually get to go on a real vacation after all too. Also, I'm going to Rhode Island next week again Next month I turn 25…I’m not sure how I feel about that yet. I’m writing more of my zombie novel too. I’m inching towards a path in the road & I’m thinking it was a good choice. Well, we’ll see…Back to Work tomorrow too. Wish I had at least one more day off… Til Tomorrow…
