You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one.

Just a quick post for today. I'm going to be doing a giveaway tomorrow so be sure to come back and enter. I reached a 100 followers!! I'm shocked. I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I hope I'm keeping it real and continue to do so.

My reason for this post is that I just watched the season finale to "The Biggest Loser" and I don't think I've cried more from a Reality show in a long while. I give each and everyone of those people so much credit. They are so motivating. Tomorrow I will starting my official diet. I did have my gall bladder out about a month & half ago so it's been hard to stick to anything. Maybe watching this finale has given me the motivation to pursue a goal. I don't want to lose much weight, just about 10 pounds healthily. It's real easy to just not eat but then you get sick, so I'm going to be back to doing it the right way. Exercising and not doing senseless eating because I'm bored. I've been eating like a bag a day of those Quaker rice cake snacks. They are great in moderation but not a bag a day. I tend to eat at my desk because I have a boring job and it's stressful at time so I eat more. I have to be careful tho with ab stuff just for a little while longer. People may see me walking around, going to work, drinking a glass of wine, but it does take a lot to recover from an invasive surgery like losing a whole organ. I guess I'm very good at doing the "I'm Okay" on the outside while I'm still hurting on the inside. Wish I could get paid to do it. I gotta work on finding a much better balance.

I wish my non-blogger friends that I do know were being a little more supportive. I really do. I wish I got the "Oh I havent talked to you in a while. How's your side? Just checking up on you." That's what I would do.

Alrighty tho:

Step #1 of new diet starting at 12:00am: Get a Good night sleep. Okay gunna try.

Also I wanted to say R.I.P John Lennon. John Lennon was shot in the back 29 years ago today. What a sad, horrific day for music. John Lennon was a memeber of the original Beatles. The lyrics of the Beatles songs & Lennon's songs are some of my favorites. He will be remembered. His killer is actually still in prison and has been denied payroll.

You gave us great music, Mr. Lennon. Thank you.

Title of this post is from the song "Imagine" by John Lennon.

Thats good being such a dreamer, in fact, everyone have to be a dreamer, but not only dreamin about something, but of course we should make it all to the reality world. So, what all i want to say is, keep fighting for your dreams.

Oh ye, I have one quote I always put as my motto. 'I believe in me, I believe in my dreams'

Go for it Michelle. I'm also a dreamer.

I watched the finale tonight, too, and had tears in my eyes. But it's not hard to make me cry these days. I, myself, set my weight loss goals as well! I set it for 15 after New Year's. I've actually got a Jillian Michael's weight loss video- and lemme tell ya, seems like she's trying to kill people. But it obviously works.

I love John Lennon and the Beatles. Always have. My second cassette tape was Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band when I was five. (My first was Michael Jackson's Off The Wall.)

I'm sorry you are in pain, and I hope that you feel better. I've never had an organ removed, but it doesn't sound pleasant. And, I wouldn't act tough if I was in pain. Sometimes letting it out helps! :)

Congrats on the 100 followers.

Good luck with the diet.

I raise a toast to John.

Thanks for the advice on my blog. I do like the idea of a button. I had never thought about that before. Let me know if you actually end up doing one. I might like to get one myself.

Good luck with the weight loss plan! I know how hard it is, but if your biggest flaw is snacking on RICE CAKES, I have a feeling you're already headed on the right track. Lol.
I know you can do it and definitely keep us updated. I am always here for you if you need motivation. Oh, and have you considered keeping a food diary? Sometimes seeing what and how much you eat per day kind of helps. I had a friend who put one up on her blog. It was motivating for her at the time b/c having her meals publicized for the world to see was kind of intimidating and inspired her to eat more healthy. Not sure if you want to go there, but it's an idea. :P

I'm sorry no one's reaching out to you minus the bloggers! You need to have friends that have a genuine interest in your life...maybe they're just busy- but a friendship is a give-take relationship on both sides.

I do a good job of making everything seem okay too...but sometime's it's okay to let it out!

Don't let it build up to where it overwhelms you.

I hope you recover soon- you've got to be most patient with yourself!

Couple of things...

My mom had her gall bladder taken out too when I was little. She takes longer to digest anything now.

On the other hand, I can't wait to go back home this winter and get back to a healthy life style. In school I do not have time to sleep enough, sometimes I am awake for more than 20 hours, I don't have time to go to the gym, and eat a lot of junk. I like going to the gym, but never have time during school.

Buenos deseos,
Aquiles

Congrats on 100 followers! I can relate to your diet woes...when I broke my ankle and I was holed up in my apartment, I felt like all I did was eat, and I couldn't work out. It can be tough to get back into it. Just take it one day at a time!

Getting zzz's is so super hard for me too, hope you are able to get more sleep sweetie. What a lovely tribute to Lennon, he was a great singer and artist. Glad you enjoyed The Biggest Lose so much!

Good for you. I wish you the best of luck!
Sorry your friends aren't being more supportive. I imagine that was a tough surgery to go through.

Saying (ok writing) "been there, done that" doesn't really help anybody else than me...

But you might fail on your diet one day, but then remember that tomorrow brings a fresh new start on the diet... It's tough - especially cause you really have the craving for something, but soon after you caved - your body might totally disagree on your choice. For me making the right choices begins when I am shopping for food etc.. if you don't have the "bad things" in your house but instead something much more agreable to both the body and the health....

For me it was a hard battle against the cravings in the beginning - and suddenly one day I realised, that I was no longer let the cravings win.

Hang in there Melanie - I think you are closer to the goal than you realise :o)

Melanie, you hit 100 followers 'cause you're awesome. Good luck on losing the weight, you know Sandy and I support you and will always encourage you.

Sad about John Lennon, I can't believe it's been 29 years already. Aargh!

And hey, ya big silly. I told you a few days ago that you got the Zombie Chicken Award but you didn't put it in your sidebar yet. I was serious, ya know! :)

Keep setting those goals, you're an inspiration.

Melanie, yours is a very achieveable goal 10 pounds. Don't starve yourself, just figure out how to lose 500 calories a day, permanently. That works so well!

Hey Mel...good goals girl! Tough at Christmas though. I usually give up until January! My mom was loving the finale last night too. Thanks for the sweet comments on my Mockingbird post and the new layout honey. I'm glad you like it! 100 followers? That's great! So excited for your giveaway. Kori xoxo

Hope you reach your goal. I play "I'm okay" really well, too. Then I get a little wounded that none of my friends seem concerned with how I am. We are conundrums, young lady.

I can't talk about John or George much. I cry.

The Beatles are my favorite band, thanks to my mom always loving them. I grew up listening to anything and everything they ever did.

I was about 10 when I found out what happened to John, and it was like I had just lost a family member. George I handled a bit better, I think, because I was older.

That sounds weird now that I've typed it out, but the person I've become has a lot to do with the message The Beatles conveyed in their work.
